Signifying something is true. Also: "So be it"
Apostle
A physical witness of Jesus Christ who was given a direct commission from Jesus to help build up the church.
Atone / -ment
To reconcile with God.
Baptize / -ism
To immerse in water. Symbolic of a complete change in one's life, and of one's spiritual baptism.
Begotten
(i.e. God's Son) Of the same nature.
Blessing
Favor from God
Church
The body of Christ on earth, made up of all believers.
Covenant
A binding agreement.
Communion
Lord's Supper. Symbolizes Jesus' death - remembering what it cost Jesus to save us.
Disciple
One who studies and practices the teachings of another.
Doctrine
A teaching, considered true.
Edify / -fication
Strengthening in Christ
Eternal / -ity
Not just everlasting in time, but outside of time
Faith
Trusting and willingly depending on God's grace
Glorify / -fication
Honor / Final stage of our salvation
Grace
Undeserved favor from God
Holy / -iness
Set apart, dedicated/devoted to God. Includes the concept of "no compromise".
Hope
Eager and confident expectation
Inerrent
The writers of the Bible wrote exactly what God wanted them to write.
Infallible
The Bible is entirely truthful.
Inspiration
God's leading of men to write the Bible.
Justify / -fication
To declare righteous

Help for those in need / Withholding of deserved punishment

All-powerful, limited only by God's character

God's raising our bodies back to life.

To buy someone's freedom.

Blameless before God.
Sacred
Holy, set apart
Salvation
To rescue, i.e. from hell and eternal separation from God to eternal life with God.
Sanctify / -fication
Becoming godly.

Falling short of God's standard of righteousness.

Three Persons, yet one God.
